Include Mirik in Your Darjeeling Gangtok Tour Package from Kolkata

If you happen to make a trip to Darjeeling, then you have to make it a point to include Mirik as part of it. The municipality is located at an elevation of more than 4,900 ft and you can consider yourself very unlucky if you do not visit it. The alluring climate, coupled with the fact that the central attraction of Mirik is the Sumendu Lake. Interestingly, the term Mirik derives from the Lepcha word Mir-Yok, which literally translates to ‘a place burned by fire’.

While you are in Mirik, you should make sure that you take a boat ride on a shikara on the lake. If being on the water is not something that you enjoy, you can also decide to take a horse ride.
